How often should an air-con be cleaned?
Sensible intervals for homes, condos and shops — and the signs it's time.
The right interval depends on running hours and local dust; there's no single number, but there are simple starting points.
Homes and condos
Night-time use: every 6 months. All-day use or pets: every 3–4 months.
Shops and offices
Open 8–12 hours a day with foot traffic: every 3 months.
Signs it's time
Weaker airflow, slower cooling, a musty smell, drips, or a higher bill for the same use.
